What do we believe?
ALL ARE WELCOME
GOD MEETS WITH ALL
ALL HAVE A PLACE
ALL IS CHANGED IN HIS KINGDOM
For the last few years, we have spent time working out what exactly the 'JMC DNA' is.
What are the key things that make us who we are as a church?"
We've reworked an old methodist saying entitled 'The 4 Alls'
“All need to be saved. All may be saved. All may know themselves saved. All may be saved to the uttermost"
into 4 new statements that sum up who we believe we are called to be as a Church.

"All are welcome. God meets with All. All have a place. All is changed in his kingdom."

But what does this mean, and what do we believe?
All are welcome
Welcome

-
We believe every person is valued, unique and special to God. God loves everyone therefore whoever you are, whatever you believe, you are loved by God and welcome at JMC.
-
We believe the Church is strengthened when full of God’s beautiful diversity. Unity does not mean we all have to look and believe the same, rather we find strength within our diversity.
-
We believe Jesus died and rose again for everyone and forgiveness is offered to all.
-
We believe all are welcome to share in the Lord’s supper around the communion table.

Romans 15:7-13
Encounter
-
We believe God by his spirit is present among us, both when we gather as a community and also with us in our day to day lives.
-
We believe we encounter God through his word, the bible, and that his spirit still speaks to us today.
-
We believe that God is not only present in the Church but living and by his spirit is active within the world where can encounter him too.
John 4:5-30, 39-42
God meets with all
All have a place
Serving

-
We believe we are all called & given gifts, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, sexual preference or disability/abilty.
-
We believe we are called to use our gifts to give back to the within the Church community we are apart of so that others may the opportunity to experience the love of God and his hear his word.
-
We believe we’re called not to just to serve on Sundays within the Church to give back to our personal local communities.

Luke 10: 25-37
Transformation
-
We believe that sin is both personal and structural. This means that the world and ourselves is not as God intended it to be, but we also know that there is hope in forgiveness and transformation and we hold the hope of a new heaven and new earth to come.
-
We believe that we are personal transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit through a commitment to ongoing discipleship.
-
We believe that we are called not just to wait for the new creation and Jesus return, but are called to advocate and get alongside God’s transformational justice now.
